Star Wars Party Food

On May the Fourth we had a very relaxed Star Wars party with some friends.  We ate food, had a few of the Star Wars movies on, the adults did a lot of talking and the kids had some great light saber battles.  I had some big plans for Star Wars Day that included making foam lightsabers that actually lit up using the idea found here.  Unfortunately May kind of snuck up on me.

I made lightsabers out of pool noodles, duct tape, and electrical tape.  The best news was that I had all the supplies at my house.  You can also find all the supplies at the dollar store.  If you would like here is a great tutorial from Muddy Boots.

For the drinks we made Yoda Soda with Lime Sherbet and Sprite and Vador Ade with a Tropical Punch drink from Our Best Bites cookbook.

For the food we had Han-wiches, which were sloppy joes,  Jar-Jar links, mini hot dogs wrapped in breadstick dough.  Carrots that we called Light Sabers and watermelon.  We also had Dagobah dip,
Spinach and Artichoke dip from Taste and Tell.

For dessert we had Endor moons (Swig sugar cookies from Vintage Revivals), Wookie cookies (Chocolate Peanut butter no-bakes) and Browned-butter banana bread brownies from Life's Simple Measures.

May the Force be With you!
